In todays episode we talk to Skyler Shinn about youth swimming. Skyler is the head coach for swimming and Diving at Castle High School and for the local youth program Newburgh Sea Creatures. He has been a swimmer since his youth and swam in college at the University of Evansville. His prior coaching was as Senior Developmental Coach at for Highlands Ranch Aquatics in Colorado where he coached national-level high-performance swimmers.
In this episode we talk about introducing your young child to the pool, teaching them to swim and competative swimming. Kids that learn to swim early will retain their abilities into adulthood and will have more oppertunities to be fit as adults.
